Jackery Explorer 1000 Models Compared: v2, Plus and Pro
The Jackery Explorer 1000 is not one product. On 2026-11-02 jackery.com listed five 1000-class stations: Explorer 1000 v2, Explorer 1000 Plus, HomePower 1000 v2, HomePower 1000 Plus v2 and a refurbished Explorer 1000 Pro. Their capacity runs from 1002 to 1264 Wh and their rated output from 1000 to 2000 W.
Run time on a Jackery Explorer 1000 v2, by load
- LED bulb (10 W)91.0 hours
- Wi-Fi router (12 W)75.8 hours
- Refrigerator, average (76 W)12.0 hours
- 55-inch TV (103 W)8.8 hours
Hours are our arithmetic: the listed 1,070 Wh, times a planning share of 85% usable, divided by the load’s watts. The 85% is our assumption, not a Jackery figure. The refrigerator figure is a 24-hour average, not the higher draw when its compressor starts. Load wattages and their sources are in the guide below.

Which 1000 is which
Search results for "Jackery Explorer 1000" mix capacities of 1002, 1024, 1070 and 1264 Wh. The mix is not an error by the search engines. Jackery's pages themselves carry all four numbers, for different products and, in one case, for the same product. The table sorts them out. Everything is from jackery.com, read 2026-11-02, with prices from a holiday-sale banner that may change.
| Model | Price as read | Capacity | Rated AC (surge) | AC recharge as stated | Weight | Warranty as stated | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Explorer 1000 v2 | $559 black, $589 Dune White | 1024 Wh headline, 1070 Wh in US spec table | 1500 W (3000 W) | 1.58 hours in the spec table; "50mins" in a headline mode | 23.8 lb | 3+2 years | DISAGREES |
| Explorer 1000 Plus | $619 sale, $699 list | 1264 Wh | 2000 W (4000 W) | 1.7 hours | 32 lb | 3+2 years | STATED |
| HomePower 1000 v2 | $549 white sale, $699 list | 1024 Wh | 1500 W | Not read | 23.4 lb | Not read | STATED (summary only) |
| HomePower 1000 Plus v2 | $749 black | 1024 Wh in the spec table | 1800 W (3600 W) | 50 minutes in the text; 1.7 hours on the collection page | 23.8 lb | 3+2 years | DISAGREES |
| Explorer 1000 Pro (refurbished) | $999 | 1002 Wh | 1000 W (2000 W) | 1.8 hours, condition not stated | Not found | 6 months | STATED |
Status uses the scorecard words from the guide: STATED means the pages read agree, DISAGREES means they conflict. "Not read" means this site did not read that fact on a page, so it makes no claim.
Where Jackery's pages disagree
Read these before choosing. Each is on Jackery's own pages.
- Explorer 1000 v2: 1024 Wh or 1070 Wh. The headline and a 230V spec table say 1024 Wh. The 120V US spec table says 1070 Wh, with 30.4 Ah at 35.2 V. Jackery does not explain it on the page. Jackery also keeps two product pages for this name, at different addresses. One shows the black unit at $559 and Dune White at $589; the other shows $559.
- HomePower 1000 Plus v2: three capacities and two outputs. The spec table says 1024 Wh and 1800 W with 3600 W surge. One paragraph on the same page says 1,070 Wh, and 1,500 W with 3,000 W peak. The collection card says 1280 Wh. Weight is 23.8 lb in the spec and 32.6 lb on the collection card. The 1,500 W paragraph reads like text carried over from the 1000 v2.
- HomePower 1000 v2 pages disagree among themselves. Its collection card gives 1024 Wh and 1500 W; the comparison rows on the HomePower 1000 Plus v2 page repeat them. This site did not read its own product page in detail, so ports, recharge time, solar input and warranty are not stated here.
- The Pro exists only refurbished. The Explorer 1000 Pro appears only as a refurbished listing at $999 with a 6-month warranty. No new-unit 1000 Pro page was found. The 1002 Wh figure belongs to it.
- Recharge claims. The 1000 v2 headline says "Emergency Super Charge 0-100% in 50mins" while its spec table says 1.58 hours. Jackery does not say what the mode needs. The HomePower 1000 Plus v2 text says a full charge takes 50 minutes at 1600 W while the collection card says 1.7 hours.
- Warranty. The product pages for the v2 and Plus models say 3+2 years, with two free years on jackery.com. The service policy lists 2+1 years for the "1500, 1000, 500, 300 Series." The free extension needs a jackery.com purchase, or registration for purchases elsewhere.
A practical way to handle all of this: pick the model by its name and rated output (those agree), treat capacity as a range, and screenshot the product page on the day you order.
What each 1000 runs, by our arithmetic
Run times here are our arithmetic and assumption (capacity times 0.85, divided by load), not Jackery figures. Load wattages are on what a solar generator can run. The refrigerator is a 76 W average, not its startup draw.
| Model | Capacity used | Router (12 W) | Refrigerator average (76 W) | 55-inch TV (103 W) | Space heater (1500 W) | Microwave (1583 W) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Explorer 1000 v2 | 1070 Wh | 75.8 hours | 12.0 hours | 8.8 hours | 36 minutes | over rated output |
| Explorer 1000 Plus | 1264 Wh | 89.5 hours | 14.1 hours | 10.4 hours | 43 minutes | 41 minutes |
| HomePower 1000 v2 | 1024 Wh | 72.5 hours | 11.5 hours | 8.5 hours | 35 minutes | over rated output |
| HomePower 1000 Plus v2 | 1024 Wh | 72.5 hours | 11.5 hours | 8.5 hours | 35 minutes | 33 minutes |
We leave out the refurbished Pro here, since it is a refurbished listing with its own price and warranty. "Over rated output" means the load is above the unit's AC rating, so that unit cannot run it. For the Explorer 1000 v2, which is rated 1500 W, a 1,583 W microwave is above the rating.
Price for the size
Dollars per watt-hour, price as read divided by capacity: Explorer 1000 Plus $0.49, Explorer 1000 v2 $0.52, HomePower 1000 v2 $0.54, HomePower 1000 Plus v2 $0.73 and the refurbished Pro $1.00. The 1000 v2 figure uses 1070 Wh. On sale prices read the same day, the Plus gave the most watt-hours per dollar. That is a snapshot, and the sale banner will change it.
Who each one fits
- Explorer 1000 v2: a refrigerator for most of half a day, plus a router and phone charging. Jackery rates it at 1500 W, enough for a 1,500 W heater but not for the microwave.
- Explorer 1000 Plus: the same jobs, with more watt-hours and a 2000 W rating, but at 32 lb against 23.8 lb for the v2.
- HomePower 1000 v2: the lower-priced HomePower unit, with the least read about it. Check its own page before relying on any figure not in the table.
- HomePower 1000 Plus v2: a higher rated output of 1800 W and a long cycle claim of 6000 cycles to 70% on the page, with the most conflicts on its own pages.
- Refurbished Pro: lowest rated output and a 6-month warranty at $999; it appears here so you know that the "1000 Pro" in a search result is not a current new unit.
Jackery says the 1000 v2 takes up to 400 W of solar input and the 1000 Plus up to 800 W, but its solar recharge times (7.5 hours and 18 hours in the spec tables) do not say how many panels or what conditions they assume. This site does not use them as station figures.
Who needs a different size
If a refrigerator needs to run most of a day, the 2000 class is closer, and Jackery Explorer 2000 sets out its run times. If the need is a phone, lights and a router, a 300-class unit is lighter and cheaper; see Jackery Explorer 300. For a whole-lineup read, see the Jackery review. For the sizing method behind these tables, go to our best solar generator guide. Home-backup shoppers should also check the 72-hour emergency kit checklist, and the Jackery vs EcoFlow page compares a matching 1,000 Wh unit from another maker. A power station does not replace a survival water filter or survival food kits.
Safety note
CPSC and CDC guidance on carbon monoxide concerns fuel generators, which must stay outdoors and, per CDC, at least 20 feet from doors, windows and vents. No agency page read names battery power stations, so this site makes no agency claim about them. Follow the manual. For a medical device, read the label on the device and ask its maker; this page does not say any Jackery will keep one running.
FAQ
Is the Explorer 1000 v2 1024 Wh or 1070 Wh?
Both appear on Jackery's page. The headline and a 230V table say 1024 Wh, and the US 120V spec table says 1070 Wh. Jackery does not explain the difference.
What is the difference between the 1000 v2 and the 1000 Plus?
By Jackery's pages the Plus lists 1264 Wh and 2000 W, against 1070 Wh (or 1024 Wh) and 1500 W for the v2. The Plus weighs 32 lb and the v2 23.8 lb.
Is there a new Explorer 1000 Pro?
No new-unit page was found. The 1000 Pro appears on jackery.com only as a refurbished listing at $999.
Is HomePower 1000 the same as Explorer 1000?
No. Jackery lists them as separate products with their own pages and prices. Their capacity and output figures overlap, which is part of the confusion.
