About Steady Supply
Steady Supply is an informational guide to preparing a household for an outage or storm. It covers three things: water, power and food. It does not name an owner, and it has no staff biographies or credentials to offer. What it offers instead is sources you can check.
What the site is
The pages explain how much water, power and food a household might plan for, and they compare products from a few companies: Jackery for power, Sawyer for water and My Patriot Supply for food. EcoFlow and Bluetti are named in comparisons but are not linked. Start on the home page or the guides index.
How pages are made
- Primary sources first. Guidance comes from public agencies such as Ready.gov, CDC, EPA, CPSC and EIA. Product facts come from each company's own pages.
- Dated reads. Each page shows the day its sources were read, 2026-11-02 for the first publication. Prices are snapshots and may change.
- Math shown. Where a number is ours, such as a run time, the page says so and shows the assumption behind it: 85% of a unit's watt-hours counted as usable.
- Disagreements reported. When a company's own pages conflict, the page says they conflict instead of picking one.
What the site does not do
It does not test, taste or own the products it writes about, and it does not claim to. It gives no medical, safety or professional advice. A guide cannot know your home, your medical needs or your local rules, so check the label on your device and ask a qualified person where it matters. See the terms.
How it is funded
The links to Jackery, Sawyer and My Patriot Supply go straight to each company's own website, and the site is not paid for them today. This page and the disclosure page will change before any paid link is added.
Corrections
The site has no contact channel, so there is no inbox to write to. Every page carries an update history with its dates. If a page looks out of date, compare its read date with the source, and treat the source as the final word.
